The State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted a conference “The Beauty of the Turkmen Land in the Poetry of Magtymguly”.
During the conference, organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the works of the poet were heard, in which he glorified the beauty of his native land.
As the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, an exhibition with unique exhibits opened as part of the conference, one of which was a carpet with the text of the poem Türkmeniň woven on it.
Also among the exhibits is the family tree of Magtymguly, which begins with his great-great-grandfather Dovletmammet Molla. Next to this exhibit is a map of Magtymguly’s travels around the world.
In one of the display cases there are reproductions of Magtymguly’s original manuscripts written in Farsi. Here are translations of poems into the Turkmen language. The originals of Magtymguly's manuscripts, as particularly valuable exhibits, are kept in the storage facilities of the Institute of Manuscripts.
One of the expositions of the exhibition is dedicated to Magtymguly’s comrades - the classical poets Kemine, Seyidi, Mollanepes, Zelili.
The organizers of the exhibition did not lose sight of the beauty of the area where Magtymguly was born and raised, which is called the pomegranate land, as well as the land of the lunar mountains. Artists often refer to the ancestral village of Gerkez in their works, the source notes.
