Turkmen students became holders of seven medals of the International South-Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad SEEMOUS-2018, which was conducted from February 26 to March 4 in the Romanian city of Yassi.
Over one hundred representatives of student youth from different countries of the world, including Argentina, Russia, Greece, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belarus, Macedonia, Romania and Turkmenistan became participants in the prestigious intellectual competition.
Students of four higher educational institutions represented the national team of our country - the International University for the Humanities and Development, the Turkmen State University named after Maktumkuli, the energy and agricultural institutes.
Silver medals were awarded to Perman Iljanov, first-year student of the International University for the Humanities and Development, Murad Chashemov and Bahtiyar Ramazanov, students of the TSU, and Mekan Khojaev, a third year student of the State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan.
The third-year student of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute of Turkmenistan Azat Amangeldiev and representatives of the TSU - Dovran Nurgeldiev and Hamidbek Hadzhiyev won Bronze.
The Turkmen team was trained for participation at the International Olympiad by the teachers of the International University for the Humanities and Development and TSU named after Mahtymkuli - Pirmurad Gurbanov and Palvan Agamuradov.
As part of the cultural program, the participants of the Olympiad were acquainted with the historical and cultural sights of the city of Yassi.
