On the eve of the new academic year, the number of areas for training specialists in Turkmen universities has increased, according to today's edition of the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
In total, the curriculum of 12 higher schools was replenished with 32 specialties, for which the recruitment of applicants has already begun.
The leader in the number of new specialties was the Turkmen Agricultural Institute in Dashoguz.Here, for the first time in the bachelor's system, professional training will be carried out in the following specializations: agricultural engineering, use of irrigation and drainage systems, land management and cadastres, information security management in agriculture, economics and management in agriculture, accounting and audit in agriculture.
5 new areas of professional training at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakaev: mining, standardization and metrology, technological machines and equipment, power engineering and electrical engineering, personnel management.
5 new directions in the bachelor's system at the Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan: cartography and geoinformatics, artificial intelligence and expert systems, technical means of information security, innovation management and international business, computational linguistics.
3 new areas of specialization in the undergraduate system:
Two new areas of professional training in the undergraduate system of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering: informatics and communication technologies, chemical technology.
Specialists in the field of “labor and the basics of technology” will be trained at the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Seidi.
At the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, the specialty “radio technical means of transmission, reception and processing of signals” was opened.
Also, the direction of specialization “rehabilitation and sports medicine” was introduced at the State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev.
There is one more specialty at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, where for the first time the recruitment of applicants for the specialty “animation and graphic design” started.
The direction “information-measuring equipment and technologies” was opened at the State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan in the city of Mary.
In accordance with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, from the new 2021-2022 academic year, the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the Turkmen State Institute of Finance have completely switched to a two-stage system of training highly qualified personnel (bachelor's and master's degrees).
In addition to them, the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi, the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, the University of Engineering and Technology named after Oguzhan, and the International University of Humanities and Development carry out vocational training in the same two-stage format.
In total, 28 out of 32 new specialties will be trained according to the bachelor's degree system, in the remaining four - according to the specialty program.
In addition, on the basis of seven universities, the number of specialties at the second stage of higher education under the master's program has increased, the source said.
