31 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and China

Today marks the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China.

As we previously reported, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov is currently in Beijing at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

During today's summit meeting, the heads of state of the two countries expressed confidence that the Turkmen-Chinese relations will develop into a comprehensive strategic partnership.

The Chinese news agency “Xinhua” reports that President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that today, January 6, marks the 31st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The President of Turkmenistan said that he is very pleased that this state visit to China coincides with such a historic date.

The leader of Turkmenistan also expressed confidence that friendly relations and multifaceted strategic cooperation between the countries would be further developed in the future.

It was emphasized that the previously established cooperation in the fuel and energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres will be taken to a new level. In this regard, the importance of cooperation in the “China + Central Asia” format was noted.
