The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the projects of new buildings planned to be constructed in the capital as well as the situation at number of big facilities and fulfilment of the programmes for urban planning of the city and complex modernization of its infrastructure.
Early in the morning, the Head of the State traditionally spent some time doing exercises and after, made cycle ride along the Kopetdag mountains.The President went to the southern part of the capital where the Path of Health starts at the foothill of the mountain where Hyakim of Ashgabat Sh.
Durdyliyev has met him.Upon arrival, the Head of the State focused at natural features of this place, having requested to take under control the subjects related to support of facilities in proper conditions.
At the same time, the importance of provision of favourable ecological condition in this picturesque place has been noted.The Hyakim of Ashgabat has also received the instructions to review the design of the monument of the first President of Independent Turkmenistan, which is placed there.
At the same time, Turkmen leader ordered to make proposals on new location of the main state symbol, which has to be seen from the distance.Having expressed the interest in the course of works for construction of the monument of outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtumguly Fragi, the Head of the State requested the head of capital administration to provide its timely completion.
Being an initiator of innovative concept of development of Ashgabat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays great attention to ecological aspect noting the necessity to solve the issues of natural protection strategy on systematic base.
Large-scale greening programme is important factor in this sphere, which resulted in numerous forests appeared in the capital and its outskirts, green’ belts are formed.It make favourable effect on microclimate and enrich local flora and fauna.
Natural protection and careful treatment of the environment are the main priorities of the state policy of Turkmenistan.Work in this direction is aimed at creation of the opportunity for active rest of people, where advantage of such ecologically friendly transport as bicycle are obvious.
Riding bicycle doesn’t only guarantee pleasant spending of time but also is good for health, feeling and mood of people.It is remarkable that recently, cycling received dynamic development in our country due to pioneering activity of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who despite his tight working schedule, regularly spends time doing physical exercises and sport.
Number of supporters of cycling is always growing both among the youth and also among the representatives of elder generation.By the way, this sport has old history in Turkmenistan.
First cycling society was founded in Ashgabat in 1894.Today, Turkmenistan citizens ride bicycles using it for family rides as well as convenient and ecological type of transport more often.
All this large-scale activity is under personal patronage of the Head of the State.The President has initiated such excellent traditions as mass public cycling rides and Transport free days, which support the formation of ecological culture.
It is worth reminding that this year, new world record, which is described in the Guinness Record Book as the Largest cycling awareness lesson and was proven by relevant Certificate, has been registered at multifunctional Ashgabat Stadium.
Integrated work for development of sport and mass physical training movement carried out under the Leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received unanimous recognition and support of international community.This is visually indicated by the World Bicycle Day that was instituted by the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly and was observed on June 3 for the first time.
On the way, the Head of the state noted that all facilities built in this part of capital have to merge organically to its architectural ensemble.In particular, having highlighted on the operation of the city lighting system, the President ordered the Hyakim and his specialists to develop relative standards and to take measures for rational consumption of electricity.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also focused the attention on the necessity of compliance of public transport stops and comfort of the passengers with modern requirements.After, the Head of Turkmenistan stopped at the roundabout on the intersection of Chandybil and Bekrewe intersection where the monument dedicated to the World Bicycle Day is planned to be built.
At the place, the Head of the State was met by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers D.Amangeldieyv and General Director of Bouygues Turkmen Alexey Reshov.
The Head of capital administration presented the projects of development of the southern part of the capital including those, which have been prepared according to the request of the Head of the State during working video conference session on Monday, to the President of Turkmenistan for review.
Having studied the projects, the President of Turkmenistan made specific recommendation and relevant corrections, having noted that harmonic combination of traditions of national architecture and modern advanced experience are the main conditions in this case.
The monument, which is to be installed in honour of the adoption of the Resolution of the UN General Assembly on declaration of June 3 as the World Bicycle Day, has to reflect rich history and current achievements of our nation, the Head of the State said.
Turkmen land is located in the heart of legendary Silk Road, which is restored in new quality these days.In this context, the President noted the appropriateness of making the monument in the shape of turning Earth, which will embody the role of Turkmen nation in the history of humankind.
According to the project, the south side of the monument will reflect the achievements of Turkmenistan in new epoch and the northern side will have the map of the country.
The top view will reflect artistically modern history of our state, which is located on strategic intersection of international routes.Figures of cyclists will be depicted on the round track.
Olive branches are also used in design of the monument and embody permanent neutrality of the country.One of the Earth globe sides will have five gracious ahalteke horses.
In general, the monument is to symbolize dynamically developing independent neutral Turkmenistan.Having become one of the hallmarks of the capital, this original sculptural composition has to bear positive and emotional message and to embody high creative spirit of Turkmenistan, its commitment to humanistic values and international sport movement, desire for progress and prosperity, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted.Turkmenistan demonstrates impressive achievements in sports.
V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and International rally Amul Hazar 2018 can be brought as good example.Soon, Turkmen capital will host another big competition the World Weightlifting Championship.
Sport actions uniting thousands of people around the country became traditional.All of these including the above-mentioned Resolution of the UN General Assembly vividly indicates growing authority of Turkmenistan as sport country.
In this regard, the Hyakim of Ashgabat addressed the President to give permission of have another cycling ride on coming Saturday.Having approved the idea, Turkmen leader ordered to organize coming sport event on high level.
Fashionable hotel is under construction at the same place.Having noted that it is necessary to use the best practice of construction and architecture during erecting of the hotel complex, Turkmen leader ordered to carry out the works at the construction site according to the plans.
After, the Head of the State continued the ride along Chandybil Avenue, having looked around the works at new construction sites, which were entrusted to old and trustful business partner of Turkmenistan, famous French company Bouygues.
On his way, the President was accompanied by the Hyakim of Ashgabat.It is worth reminding that President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution in February this year, according to which relative contracts for project design and construction of International Congress Centre, the above0mentioned hotel, administrative buildings of the State Commercial Bank Türkmenbaşy and Senagat Joint Stock and Commercial Bank along Chandybil Avenue and the Government Tribune along Kopetdag Avenue have been signed with Bouygues.
Having inspected the situation at the construction sites, the Head of the State made special mention on creation of parking zones.Speaking of the importance of new hotel complex, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that today, Ashgabat is recognized as the centre of regional and global cooperation, which cause the necessity to create all conditions for conducting of international events.
Having stopped at the facilities of International Congress Centre, the President studied the project prepared by French partners.The General Director of Bouygues Turkmen reported on the conditions of works at the facilities including on used material, especially the glass.
Having made some remarks and relative corrections to presented projects, the Head of the State noted that used construction materials have to be of high quality and chosen taken into account natural and climate conditions of Turkmenistan.
Regarding administrative buildings, theu have to be provided with modern equipment.Having noted that innovative, ecological and aesthetic aspects have to the main criteria in urban construction concept in Ashgabat and in the country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered to provide high quality of construction of the facilities built in modern administrative and business centre of the capital and, having wished success in work to everybody, left the place of event.
