According to the National railway network of the People's Republic of China, in accordance with the established time, a container train from Bayan-Nur crossed the Chinese-Kazakh border at the junction of the stations Khorgos (China) - Altyn Kol (Kazakhstan) and reached Bolashak station, where it crossed the Kazakh-Turkmen border near the Serhetyaka station.
According to the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, on the territory of our country, the freight train crossed 700 kilometers ahead of schedule - in just a day due to new modern steel trunks and modernized stations, including the Bereket railway yard.
The train crossed the state border in the south of the country near the stations Akyayla (Turkmenistan) - Incheburun (IRI).On May 22, the Chinese container train reached the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran - the city of Tehran, running 8,352 kilometers road in 13 days.
That is three times (!) faster as compared to the previous supply route with the use of sea traffic.The Chinese city - Bayan-Nur, being the largest producer of sunflower seeds in the country, annually exports 180,000 tons of seeds of this valuable agricultural crop, of which 90 percent is supplied to the Middle East, European and Latin American markets.
Chinese suppliers pay particular attention now to the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran transport corridor, the construction of which was initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.At present, the steel trunk that connected three friendly states, plays an increasingly important role as one of the key routes of the Great Silk Road.
The Turkmen leader said that the functionality of this line allowed increasing the volumes of cargo traffic and using new opportunities of the trade and economic cooperation in the region and on the continent.
Reducing transit time, respectively, reduces transport costs, increasing the economic profitability of the route.Therefore, the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway today becomes the main direction of cargo flows in the region, connecting its major economic centers.
For Turkmenistan, the participation in this international logistics project means the activation of transit opportunities, as today the Great Silk Road is revived in the form of modern transnational highways, railway, sea and air routes.
These routes that almost coincide with the directions of the ancient route, will ensure the enhancement of foreign economic relations, the expansion of transit traffic on the Eurasian continent, cultural and tourist contacts.
According to the President of Turkmenistan, the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway, as well as other transport projects of our country, can have a great positive influence on the overall situation in the region and beyond, on the stability and security in Asia, and give additional stability to the whole system of continental ties.
The international transport corridors have become key mechanisms for the globalization of the world economy.As a catalyst for these processes, Turkmenistan forms one of the important logistics centers of the continent on its territory, based on the country's sustainable economic and social development and the strategy developed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to implement the geo-economic potential of our state in the interests of the region and the world.
