President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received President of Energy System and Plant Engineering of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.Tatsuya Watanabe.Appreciative of the personal audience, the businessman emphasized keen interest of Japan’s business circles in expanding partnership with Turkmenistan.
Welcoming the guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction the productive character of cooperation between Turkmenistan and large Japanese companies, having said that today these traditional business contacts are being raised to a qualitatively new and higher level and developing across a broad spectrum of areas.
In this context, the parties held an exchange of opinions on prospects of partnership with a glance to the massive development programs designed to modernize and diversify the national economy, build up a diversified industrial sector, employ advanced technologies in all fields and branches, and broaden a range of import-substituting and export products.
During the meeting, the head of the leading Japanese corporation informed the head of Turkmenistan on the implementation progress of the ongoing big investment project, a gas-to-gasoline plant project in Akhal velayat.
As stressed, the project, which is the first of its kind in the world, is being carried out with the participation of Rönesans Holding (Turkey).Thanks to deep purification of raw natural gas, gasoline will meet the world’s highest quality and environmental standards.
Concluding the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest expressed confidence that the mutually advantageous cooperation would continue to develop.Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Takahiko Katsumata also attended the meeting.
