2024: Baherden Cement Plant's Second Phase To Begin Operations

The second phase of a cement plant equipped with modern innovative technologies is planned to be put into operation this year, in the Baherden district of the Ahal province in Turkmenistan, according to the statement made by Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedow at the opening ceremony of the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant on Wednesday.

As reported by the official Turkmen media, the second phase of the Baherden Cement Plant will produce 1 million tons of high-quality cement products per year.

"Cement is one of the most essential products in construction. The Baherden, Balkan, and Lebap cement plants, built and put into operation in the country during the years of independence, produce high-quality products based on new innovative technologies, fully complying with global standards," stated the Head of State.

Serdar Berdimuhamedow emphasized that currently, cement products under Made in Turkmenistan label are in high demand not only in the domestic but also in the global markets.

Additionally, on Wednesday, the city of Turkmenabat in the Lebap province saw the opening of two four-story residential buildings with 18 apartments each.

On the same day, around 200 new mid-size Toyota Coaster buses and 10 Toyota Hiace minibuses were handed over to the city of Turkmenabat in the Lebap province.
