Thanking for the kind words, the President of Turkmenistan expressed satisfaction with the invariably friendly character of intergovernmental relations, successfully developing both in a bilateral and multilateral format, including in the framework of the established dialogue with the countries of the European Union.
Addressing the best wishes to the President of Hungary, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that neutral Turkmenistan had been always open for fruitful cooperation, built on an equal and long-term basis.
Exchanging the views on the priorities of the Turkmen-Hungarian cooperation, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest expressed the mutual aspiration for consolidating the efforts in various fields.
The trade and economic sphere, transport, energy, and the industrial sector were specified among the promising areas for cooperation.In this regard, it was emphasized the significant role of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, which is aimed at enhancing cooperation and efficient business relations.
The President of Turkmenistan and his guest also discussed the possibility of widening relations in the spheres of science, education and culture.There are also good opportunities for cooperation in the fields of sports and tourism.
Moreover, the importance of intensifying political and diplomatic relations, continuing the practice of regular consultations at the level of foreign affairs agencies was underlined.The President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary reaffirmed the commitment of the both countries to constructive cooperation in the format of reputable international organizations - the UN, the OSCE and others.
It was emphasized that Hungary highly appreciated the peace-loving foreign policy pursued by Turkmenistan based on the status of permanent neutrality, and supported international initiatives put forward by the Turkmen leader that met the goals of ensuring security, well-being and sustainable development in the regional and global level.
In conclusion of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó expressed confidence that interstate relations would develop successfully.
