The Executive Committee of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games announced that Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd.joined the Games Ashgabat- 2017" as the official partner. In addition to the sporting component, the grandiose project "Ashgabat-2017" will give the opportunity to demonstrate to the world the focus of our country on activating the broad economic partnership, strengthening friendly and business contacts, establishing the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding in the region and on the planet, including in the cultural and tourism industries.
In particular, the Director General of the company Ali Al Jarwan said: "We are happy to cooperate with the Executive Committee of the Games "Ashgabat -2017" and are firmly convinced that they will multiply the authority of Turkmenistan in the international sports arena and are proud to support the country in such wonderful initiatives" . "Dragon Oil" has accumulated solid experience of cooperation with Turkmen specialists in the field of oil and gas production on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
The company produced about one million ton of oil this year from offshore platforms on "Cheleken" contract area.Almost 17 years the company participates in development of offshore deposits “Dzheitune" and “Dzhygalybeg”.To date, the company has invested about $ 6 billion in the development of these fields, and continues to increase investment volumes.
Only this year more than 150 million US dollars were invested in production. On the shelf of the Caspian Sea, another fixed platform (MFP LE) was installed, from which the first well was drilled and industrial oil inflow was obtained. "Dragon Oil" specialists conduct drilling using several drilling rigs of various types, of which three are JR (jack-up rig): "Elima", "Caspian Driller" and "Mercury", and one on-site - Sakson.
By means of this high-tech equipment in 2017, it is planned to drill 18 wells on the shelf, six of which have already been completed. In addition, it is planned to perform major repairs of several operating wells.
The company develops not only new, but also existing wells, where regular work is being done to intensify the flow of oil.In this regard, the level of its daily average production from the fields “Dzheitune" and “Dzhygalybeg” grows steadily from 7 thousand barrels per day in 2000 to 85 thousand barrels in 2017.
To enhance oil recovery, the most advanced technologies and equipment are actively used - plug-in water jet and intrawell electric centrifugal multiphase pumps, gas lift production method and acid treatment of rock matrix by means of flexible tubing.
The program of water injection has been launched to increase reservoir pressure.Modern technologies are used in the field of intrawell diagnostics, drilling and completion of wells, which provides constant control over their condition and allows maintaining the planned production volume.
The company continues work to improve the coastal oil and gas infrastructure of the "Cheleken" contract area, which includes several large facilities. In the complex preparation and pumping of oil, the construction of a new terminal has practically been completed, where 10 tanks are located: 8 - for storage of oil and 2 fire-fighting.
Thus, the total storage capacity will increase several times and amount to 1 million 800 thousand barrels (200 thousand tons).Construction of additional oil storages and pipelines on the oil jetty "Aladja" allowed loading simultaneously two tankers, which significantly increased export opportunities. One of the key tasks of “Dragon Oil” is to conduct business from the position of the socially responsible partner.
Now about 2,000 people work on its facilities, 93 percent of whom are Turkmen. The company is purposefully investing training and professional development programs for local personnel, opening up new horizons for Turkmen specialists to gain modern knowledge and experience in professional sectors.
For several years there acts the scholarship program to train graduates from the schools of Khazar town in Tomsk Polytechnic University. This year another group of students will be sent to the university.
The active participation of foreign partners in developing on the parity basis the richest hydrocarbon deposits on the Caspian shelf and increasing the extraction of raw materials is the important aspect of Turkmenistan's energy policy that facilitates the implementation of the fundamental transformations being carried out by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov in all spheres of the state's life.
