Conference hall of the Yildyz Hotel of the capital hosted the 3rd session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen French Commission for economic cooperation where further objectives of expansion of bilateral business cooperation have been reviewed.
Representative delegation chaired by State Secretary of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne came to Ashgabat for this meeting.Heads and representatives of some Government structures of two countries including profile ministries and departments took part in the session.
Having stated with delight growing dynamics of bilateral relations, the Co-chairmen highlighted the role of the Intergovernmental Commission on development of efficient cooperation between Turkmenistan and France.Having expressed the gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Government of Turkmenistan for cordial welcome, the head of the delegation of friendly country noted that outcomes of the session would support the expansion of interstate cooperation, which is built on the principles of mutual benefit.
Having given positive feedback to the results of work on the implementation of previous agreements, the members of the Commission discussed the activation of the contacts in number of directions.
Proposals on the expansion of the partnership in fuel and energy section, particularly in gas production and processing as well as in construction, transport, space and information technology, development of entrepreneurship and service spheres, have been voiced.
Having noted huge potential for further development of fruitful trade and economic cooperation, the participants of the session spoke for the necessity of coordination of the efforts in these directions.
In this context, the importance of the meetings of business circles of two countries has been highlighted.It was mentioned that it would support the implementation of new joint projects.
Successful activity of leading companies with the participation of French capital in fuel and energy section, construction and transport spheres is an example of productive practice of cooperation.France Turkmenistan Commerce Chamber has been established in November 2012 for consolidation of big French companies working in our country and special guide “France Turkmenistan” has been published in 2014.
In addition to general information about Turkmenistan and its attractions, richest history and culture of the nation, this business guide includes the information about bilateral relations, particularly about efficient trade and economic partnership.
Successful work of French companies like Bouygues, Cifal, Vinci, Thales, Total indicates the efficiency of the relations.At present, Bouygues builds International Congress Centre, fashionable hotel, administration buildings of the Turkmenbashy State Commercial Bank and Senagat Joint Stock Commercial Bank in Ashgabat.
Relative protocol has been signed by the outcomes of the session.The participants of the Interstate Turkmen French Commission for economic cooperation expressed the confidence that decisions made at the meeting would give new impulse to the expansion of the partnership.
