President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in Al Kuwait.Cordially greeting each other, the Turkmen leader and the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views on the issues of the Turkmen-Kuwaiti partnership during a personal meeting.
Congratulating the President of Turkmenistan on the success of the top-level talks in Al Kuwait, Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah expressed belief that the bilateral agreements achieved would promote the further strengthening of the interstate relations.
Thanking for the kind words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated that considering the current visit as an important stage in the modern history of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the State of Kuwait, the Turkmen side was aimed at the effective use of the existing solid potential for the development of the mutually beneficial partnership both at the bilateral level and within the framework of authoritative international structures, in particular the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, etc.
The President of Turkmenistan underlined the adherence of our country to the development of the equal, fruitful cooperation with all states of the world, including with the countries of the Middle East.
Expressing support to the peaceful and good-neighborly policy pursued by neutral Turkmenistan, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait emphasized that the Turkmen leader’s constructive approach to address the global problems had gained the increasing support and understanding in the broader world circles.
This proves the understanding and high assessment of the efforts taken by our country to ensure the universal peace and prosperity.During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Prime Minister exchanged the views on the prospects for the Turkmen-Kuwaiti relations.
The sides discussed the opportunities to intensify the economic and cultural ties between the two countries.It was noted that Turkmenistan's strategy on the modernization of the national fuel and energy complex, the key criteria of which include the increase of production and processing capacities through the further development of industrial infrastructure, the introduction of high technologies, and the diversification of export routes for the supply of Turkmen energy created the most favorable prospects for establishing the business relations.
In this context, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait expressed support to the Turkmen leader’s initiatives, underlining the great importance of the projects on the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) transnational gas pipeline, the Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway, the railway from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan that can serve as a symbol of good-neighborly cooperation.
Jaber Al-Mubarak Al Hamad Al-Sabah emphasized that Turkmenistan, which plays a key role in the Central Asian region, was considered throughout the world as an exceptionally reliable partner and expressed the willingness of the Kuwaiti business community to take an active part in the projects implemented by Turkmenistan.
The investment, trade, construction and other industries were specified among the important areas of cooperation.Underlining Turkmenistan's commitment to the effective cooperation with foreign partners, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that there were great opportunities for developing cooperation in various areas.
It was suggested to organize exhibitions, regular business meetings and forums that will promote establishing close contacts between the potential partners - both public and private entities.The President of Turkmenistan noted that the advanced technologies and experience of leading Arab companies could be of particular demand in Turkmenistan that implements the complex programmes for the modernization of all sectors of the national economy.
Speaking about the aspects of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, the Turkmen leader and the head of the Kuwaiti government called for the expanding contacts in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres, as well as tourism and sports.
