President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council.

Berdiev reported on the specific steps taken to ensure the successful implementation of the Military Doctrine, which is aimed at strengthening the defensive potential of the country, enhancing the strength of the national army.

Minister of Internal Affairs I.Mulikov reported on the current situation in the sphere under his supervision, the fulfillment of the instructions for the prevention of violations of law, as well as the protection of the legal rights and freedoms of citizens.

Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the need to strengthen control over the activities of the structural subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including the road supervision service, prevention of any kind of illegal actions, and gave a number of specific instructions in this regard.

Minister of Defense B.Gundogdyev reported on the results of work in the sphere under his supervision in January-July this year, the measures taken to improve the theoretical knowledge, practical skills of the Armed Forces personnel, and modernize the material and technical base of military units.

Commenting on the report, the President noted that the in the daily military service, it was necessary to strictly fulfill the goals and tasks on ensuring the security and territorial integrity of our country.

Chairman of the Supreme Court G.Hallyev reported on the work done in January July, 2018.Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the judicial system played an important role as an effective mechanism of the state protection and gave a number of instructions to the head of the Supreme Court.

Prosecutor-General B.Atdaev informed the Turkmen leader on the results of the work done during the reporting period.Commenting on the report, the President underlined that prosecutors should maintain supervision over the implementation of laws and regulations of the Government of Turkmenistan.

Given the powers entrusted to this structure, the Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to pay special attention to the personnel appointments and their competence.The head of the State Border Service, Sh.

Durdyev, reported on the work done in the period, the practical steps taken to ensure the inviolability of the borders, as well as the planned events on the occasion of the upcoming Frontier Guards Day.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the main requirements for ensuring the inviolability of the borders of Turkmenistan - the borders of friendship and brotherhood included the increase of the level of military, political and theoretical training of servicemen of the border troops.

Underlining the importance of taking the necessary measures in this direction, the President instructed the head of the State Border Service to ensure the high organization level of the festivities on occasion of the Frontier Guards Day.

Chairman of the State Customs Service A.Osmanov informed the Turkmen leader on the results of work in January-July 2018 and the current situation in the sphere under his supervision.

Commenting on the report, the President noted that the development of the unified information and communication system with modern software in the State Customs Service set new tasks to the customs service specialists, including mastering the skills of its practical use, a thorough study of world experience, further improvement of national legislation in this area in accordance with today’s requirements.

Emphasizing that it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of the work, in particular, the active implementation of the best international practice of the thorough inspection of goods passing through the border of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country addressed a number of instructions to the Chairman of the State Customs Service.

Minister of Justice B.Muhammedov reported on the work done in the period and the steps taken to further improve the national legislative base of the state.Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the importance of the ongoing work in the context of the successful implementation of the legal reform.

The President emphasized the importance of studying the best international experience, applying the best world practices while drafting new laws and amending the existing legislative acts and instructed the relevant officials to offer the professional legal assistance to citizens in the proper way.

Chairman of the State Migration Service M.Gurdov reported on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the results of work in the spheres under his supervision in the reporting period.

The President noted that the priority task set to each employee of the State Migration Service was to render all possible assistance to the successful development of Turkmenistan's constructive dialogue with foreign countries.

Then Director of the State Service on Financial Crimes Enforcement, M.Hudaykulyev, reported on the practical steps taken in the reporting period to fight corruption.Reporting on the fulfillment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions, the head of the State Service on Financial Crimes Enforcement informed on the results of the inspections in a number of institutions.

Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that our country would irreconcilably struggle against such negative phenomena as bribery and abuse of office.The President emphasized that the work in this direction should be carried out in strict compliance with the legislation of Turkmenistan and generally accepted norms of the international law, addressing the Director of the State Service on Financial Crimes Enforcement the specific instructions in this regard.

Summing up the meeting, President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the military and law enforcement agencies in strengthening the foundations of Turkmenistan's independence.

The President noted that guided by the adopted military doctrine, which is defensive in nature, our state systematically strengthened the material and technical base of the military and law-enforcement agencies, paid much attention to the social aspects of the life of servicemen’ families.
