In Ashgabat, the ceremonial opening of the Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held.The event was organized by the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Iran in Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of our country.
The delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran included heads and specialists of profile institutions, creative teams, craftsmen.Perspectives of interaction were discussed during the reception of representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The ceremonial opening of the Days took place at the Mukams Palace, where heads and representatives of cultural institutions, diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat, mass media and creative workers of our country, professors and students of universities were gathered on this occasion.
Speakers underscored the importance of the current action in the progressive development of interstate dialogue, strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood of our peoples.It was noted that holding Days of Iranian culture in Ashgabat will promote further mutual enrichment of cultures, expansion of professional contacts between representatives of creative intelligentsia.
The participants expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Iran Hassan Rouhani for the implementation of the policy of multifaceted cooperation aimed at peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding of peoples.
The participants were also acquainted with the program of the cultural forum, which was opened by a concert of artists of the friendly country.Musicians and singers from Khorasan province, folklore collective "Araz" from the city with an ancient history - Tabriz, performed on the stage of the Mukams Palace.
Iranian artists performed classical music, ancient lyrical tunes to verses of oriental poets, and also presented bright choreographic compositions.Within the framework of the Days of Iranian Culture in Turkmenistan, the Museum of Fine Arts will host an exhibition of works of decorative and applied art that represents the works of Iranian calligraphers, miniaturists, engravers, carpet makers, carver in wood and stone, etc.
A meeting of folk craftsmen of the two countries is planned.The Days program also included a demonstration of films at the "Ashgabat" cinema center reflecting the characteristic currents in the cinematograph of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Children's art groups from both countries will perform on the stage of the Turkmen State Puppet Theater, and the Iranian folklore and music ensembles at the "Watan" cinema center.
The Days of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran will end on February 9 at the Turkmen National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli with a joint concert of artists.
A large program has been prepared for the guests of our country, including acquaintance with historical and cultural monuments, museum expositions and modern profile objects.
