The task to maximize the existing industries opportunities to increase the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products in the conditions of the market economy was defined by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov as one of the top priorities.

In this context, the production base of the textile industry is gradually being modernized.Thanks to significant investments in the creation of high-tech enterprises, a variety of products have been delivered to the domestic and foreign markets, the range of which is steadily growing, worthily competing with foreign counterparts.

Cooperation with well-known foreign companies and large financial institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation, "Mitsubishi Corporation" (Japan) promotes the introduction of advanced and highly efficient technologies that ensure the production of high-quality and competitive products in the world market.

Modernization of the textile enterprises of the country allows to expand the assortment and volumes of production stably, to master the production of new types of finished products, successfully replacing the products of foreign manufacturers.

A striking example unique in their capabilities is the Ashgabat textile complex, the textile complex named after Turkmenbashi, the denim complex, the Rukhabat and Geoktepe complexes.Due to their high quality, wide range and affordable prices, the products of these companies are in great demand, both on the domestic market and abroad.

On the jeans complex, the installation of innovative equipment from the companies "Monforts" (Germany) allowed to increase the production of denim fabric, and in the sewing shop - to diversify the types of products due to the application of fashionable drawings using a laser machine.

A lot of work on import substitution is carried out at the Rukhabat textile complex.The production of mixed fabrics for sewing uniforms for servicemen and workers of law enforcement agencies, gabardine with lycra and cloth for canvas for trousers, as well as sportswear is established here.

The staple fabric produced by the enterprise is in good demand among the population.The spinning equipment of the well-known Swiss company "Rieter" was installed at the Tejen cotton mill in the course of partial modernization.

The update contributed to the growth of volume and the improvement of product quality.A workshop for producing twisted cotton yarn with a capacity of 1300 tons per year was launched as part of the export-oriented production program at the “Serdar” cotton spinning mill in Kaakhka.

The new production facility is equipped with the equipment of the Swiss company "SSM" and the company "Saurer" (Germany).A shop for the production of regenerated fiber from wastes of spinning, weaving and sewing production of the enterprises of the branch was commissioned on the basis of the Ashkhabad textile complex.

High-performance equipment of the company "Balkan" of Turkey was installed here, on which several thousand tons of textile waste can be processed annually.Last year, as part of the program to increase exports, the regenerated fiber was sold to foreign consumers.

The Ashkhabad cotton mill has established a release of the toe-produced products, which are not inferior in terms of their characteristics to foreign samples.A workshop with automatic equipment from the Italian company "Lonati' works at the plant.

The plant will be able to produce up to 2.5 million pairs a year of men's, women's and children's products that are in high demand.At the beginning of last year, a knitting workshop equipped with modern equipment of the Japanese company "Shima Seiki" was launched in the Ashgabat Model House.

Several knitting machines provided the release of 23 thousand items previously supplied from abroad.Also on the basis of this shop production of new types of products - sweaters, sleeveless jackets for schoolchildren and women's robes (national outerwear) for university students has already been established.

At the Sakarchage and Turkmenkala cotton spinning mills in 2016, the technological equipment was modernized, in the course of which the advanced spinning equipment of the well-known German companies "Trützschler" and "Schlafhorst" was installed.

In connection with this, the quality of the produced products has increased.Replace the technological equipment, which will increase the export potential of the products is planned in the current and next year at these enterprises, as well as the Takhtabazar cotton spinning mill and the Dashoguz cotton-spinning factory "Serdar", the Ashgabat factory for the production of medical cotton wool and cosmetic cotton wool.

The reconstruction of the Bayramali textile complex is underway, within the framework of which it is planned to replace the rigging of the weaving workshop, where the newest high-performance equipment of the German firm "Karl Mayer" will be used.

The machines of the Italian company "Itema" will arrive at the weaving department.For the production of new products, it is planned to install jacquard machines of the French firm "Staubli".This year, the textile industry of Turkmenistan will expand the range of manufactured products with mixed fabrics, outer clothing made from raincoat fabrics on sintepon for children and adults, knitted products made of semi-woolen and viscose yarn.

New blended fabrics in trendy colors with prints will be used to create seasonal collections of clothing.
