Turkmen-Iranian business forum which opened on the eve in the capital was held within the framework of the XIV specialized exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, dedicated to various areas of trade and economic cooperation at which the export products and advanced developments of a friendly country were presented.
To participate in the annual review of the achievements of the Iranian production complex, a solid delegation of businessmen headed by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in Turkmenistan.
The significance of the industry exhibition and joint business forum traditionally held in Ashgabat as an effective platform for discussing topical issues of cooperation was noted during on the eve meeting of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with Mohammad Shariatmadari.
The intention of the two states was underscored to promote further activation of business relations, stimulation of investment activity and increase in volumes of mutual trade turnover.The present review is also aimed at achieving these goals, confirming the desire of industrial circles of Iran to diversify trade and economic ties with our country.
Consultations and working negotiations of specialists from various fields, discussion of opportunities for building up business cooperation, establishing direct contacts between partners are held on the exhibition sites.Business forum held in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry demonstrated mutual interest in expanding fruitful cooperation in its key areas, participation in joint projects of national and regional scale.
Heads of 65 Iranian companies and enterprises representing industrial centers of Khorasan, Mazandaran, Gulistan, Birjand city, as well as the specialized economic zone of Serakhs and others took part in the meeting.
From the Turkmen side representatives of the sectoral ministries, departments and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were represented.During the forum, a video was shown to the guests, telling the story of the implementation of large-scale reform programs affecting all spheres of the life of the Turkmen state and society.
There was also a presentation on the economy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.Participants noted that the current meeting is intended to become yet another practical step in trade and economic cooperation activization, identifying new directions and mechanisms for long term business partnership.
This is facilitated by the favorable investment climate created in both countries, the dynamically developing domestic market, the widespread introduction of advanced technologies and innovations.Transport and communications, electric power, construction, chemical industry, agriculture, food productions were named among the priority areas of cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, in particular, the construction of new livestock and poultry complexes, greenhouse production, the introduction of advanced developments in the field of biotechnology.
As noted, joint work of businessmen and companies of our countries in industrial branches based on high technologies is of great importance.Mastering the best international experience, domestic entrepreneurs have developed a great potential in the production and sale of a wide range of products and services in foreign markets, which can be a good aid in cooperation with Iranian partners.
Within the framework of the business forum bilateral meetings were held between representatives of various departments and business circles of the two countries, during which the possibilities of implementing joint projects were discussed.
